Guest Workshops

I’m available to teach at other studios, guilds, and clay centers as a visiting instructor, bringing a focused technique session to potters who already have some clay experience.

• 15+ years teaching, kids through adults (more on LinkedIn)

• MFA in ceramics, School of Visual Arts NYC. BFA, Pacific Northwest College of Art

• Comfortable at cone 6 and cone 10, oxidation and gas or soda atmospheres

• Sessions run from a single demo day to a multi day intensive, shaped around what your group wants to work on

I'm currently developing workshops around:

• Mishima inlay, carving and filling line work into leather hard clay

• Engobe surfaces over dark clay bodies, building color and opacity in layers

• Wipe back glaze layering for depth and glow

• Flashing slips and atmospheric surface effects in soda and gas firing
